Description of the Fund
The Metropolitan Smooth Growth Fund was designed as a long term, stable bonus fund, with a mandate to provide top quartile yet consistent long-term returns, through a well diversified spread of assets with a cautious risk profile. The portfolio is particularly suitable for smaller pension and provident funds operating on either a defined benefit or defined contribution basis.
Fund Objective
The objective of the Smooth Growth Fund is to provide implicit capital protection while targeting inflation-beating returns over the long-term (periods in excess of 5 years). The fund thus aims to achieve real returns of 4% per annum (net of the capital charge and gross of investment fees and tax) for its clients over the medium and long term.
